Docents
Letterform Archive’s Docent Program brings together artists, designers, historians, and educators from around the world. History is a conversation of plurality through our various voices. Using our voices is crucial, especially during tumultuous times.
Voices are sounds in the air, unheard perspectives, and a glimpse of action. To be a voice. To be a voice that enlightens the facets of multiple realities, to be a voice for the ones who are silenced, to be a voice to express singular nuances.
In the Archive’s collection, we’ve found that voices also have materiality, shape, texture, boldness, strength, and power. We selected artifacts that are engaged and embodied, pieces which transcend borders and address oppressive narratives, pieces necessary to build our collective political imaginaries.
We invite you to discover them with your eyes, ears, and heart wide open, hoping these would encourage you to express your own voice.
