Supplies and Demand :
Paraphernalia
Graffiti writers are dedicated to mastering the structure, developing the style, and exploring the limits of legibility in handmade letterforms. To do that, they need the right supplies.
Aerosol paint, caps, and markers come in many varieties, and each has a specific purpose. Fat caps are great for fill ins and flares, but detailed work requires thin caps. Mops can leave a dripping effect, while fat-tip markers give clean-line tags. No matter the style a writer pursues, precision and consistency in graffiti lettering demands commitment and repetition.
Tools like the ones in the case below were used to create the tags, throw-ups, and pieces chronicled in the magazines and photographs in this show.
